Advocacy Development Partners announced that they’ve selected Agemark Senior Living to manage The Terraces at Via Verde in San Dimas, CA. The Terraces at Via Verde provides memory care focused services for those who live with Alzheimer’s disease or another type of dementia. Opened in 2021, the community is home to more than 50 residents at capacity.

Nick Kavayiotidis of Advocacy Development Partners says that Agemark’s experience helped the company stand out in comparison to others considered. “Our selection of Agemark Senior Living to manage The Terraces at Via Verde was an obvious decision – they have decades of experience operating free-standing memory care buildings, and their support for all facets of the community – activities, dining, nursing, compliance, marketing and more – is unmatched.”

Family-owned and founded in the late 1980s, Agemark looks to provide residents of their communities with the highest standard of care. The company’s Wellness philosophy, LifeCycles™, focuses on ensuring physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual wellness. This in-house program recognizes and addresses the higher needs of each individual, making sure each resident has a strong sense of belonging and purpose. Agemark’s life enrichment curriculum, Seasons™, features opportunities for residents to engage in a variety of daily activities as well as excursions outside the community.

Seamus O’Connor of Advocacy Development Partners adds that Agemark’s culture was also a determining factor in the decision. “We feel strongly that Agemark’s culture best aligns with the best interests of residents and their families. We’re highly focused on ensuring that our community is an exceptional place to live and to work and feel confident in achieving that under Agemark’s leadership.”

Agemark will now own and/or manage 30 communities starting this spring. Brands under the Agemark’s management now include Astoria, CountryHouse, Holland Farms, Kensington-Evergreen, Kingston Bay, Sage Glendale, Sage Mountain, Serra Sol, TreVista and The Terraces at Via Verde. Although Agemark has experience providing independent and assisted living services, nearly half of Agemark’s managed communities offer focused memory care, with another nine offering memory care services as part of a larger continuum of care. In 2023, 17 of Agemark’s communities earned the highest possible rating in the 2023-24 publication of U.S. News Best Senior Living. Headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, and Orinda, California, Agemark has also been named one of the Best Workplaces in Aging Services™ by Great Place to Work for the last six years.

The management transition will be official on April 2, 2024, and Advocacy Development Partners’ Paul Bunton reiterates his excitement for the impending change. “Ownership, staff, and resident families have already expressed their excitement and support for this new partnership. With Agemark’s support, The Terraces at Via Verde is set to excel as the hub of hope and purpose for those with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia in the San Gabriel Valley.”
