At Agemark, our commitment to providing exceptional care goes beyond warm, personalized service — it includes investing in tools that help our teams deliver faster, smarter, and more proactive care. That’s why we’re proud to announce the implementation of Sage Detect, a breakthrough in AI-powered fall detection and wellness monitoring, now live at CountryHouse in Omaha.

Smarter Technology for Safer Communities

Sage Detect is the latest advancement in our partnership with Sage, the senior care platform built specifically for communities like ours. Originally developed as a next-generation nurse call system, Sage has evolved into a comprehensive, cloud-based platform that helps caregivers manage, document, and respond to care needs in real time. With this new enhancement, Sage Detect takes care to the next level.

Using advanced artificial intelligence, Sage Detect interprets thousands of daily activity data points to recognize potential issues before they become emergencies. It provides:

  • Real-time alerts for falls and other incidents, enabling quicker response times.

  • Wellness trends such as sleep patterns, mobility changes, and hydration data — allowing care teams to detect subtle condition shifts early.

  • Seamless integration with our caregiving workflows to support efficiency without disruption.

  • Strict privacy protections to preserve dignity and trust.

“Sage Detect is an important evolution of our care model,” said Michael Pittore, Co-CEO of Agemark. “It enhances our ability to respond quickly in urgent situations while also helping us notice trends that may signal a change in a resident’s health. The technology doesn’t just add safety-it supports our mission to provide thoughtful, personalized care in a secure and respectful environment.”

By embedding this technology directly into our daily routines, Sage Detect will empower Agemark teams to focus on what matters most: human connection, compassionate care, and improving outcomes for our residents and their families.

Backing by Tech Visionaries

With $59M in funding, most recently a $35M Series B in December 2024, Sage is backed by investors including IVP, Friends & Family Capital, PLUS Capital, Maveron, Goldcrest Capital, Distributed Ventures, and ANIMO Ventures. They are excited to announce that Matthew and Camila McConaughey have also invested in Sage.

Looking Ahead

Agemark is proud to be among the first senior living organizations to pilot and implement Sage Detect. As we continue to explore forward-thinking ways to serve our residents and support our care teams, we remain focused on what matters most — empowering older adults to live safely, joyfully, and with dignity.

Whether your loved one is living with Alzheimer’s, another form of dementia, or simply needs a helping hand, know that we’re always seeking new ways to elevate care. Technology like Sage Detect is one of the many tools we use to support better outcomes — and to give families like yours even greater confidence in your care decision.
