Agemark Senior Living has once again been named to the Best Workplaces in Aging Services List for 2023. Presented by Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE, Agemark improved their ranking by five spots in 2023 and marked the sixth straight year of recognition on the list.
To determine the Best Workplaces in Aging Services™ list, Great Place To Work analyzed survey responses of over 140,000 employees from Great Place To Work-Certified™ companies in the aging services industry. The survey process allowed employees to share confidential feedback about their organization’s culture. Companies are measured in the areas of trust, respect, credibility, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.
Agemark Senior Living owns and/or manages 29 communities across six states – California, Iowa, Maryland, Nebraska, North Dakota and Washington. Founded in 1987, Agemark has proudly served thousands of seniors for more than twenty-five years. The company employs more than 900 individuals. Of employees surveyed, 83% indicated the company was a great place to work. The company averaged a score of 79 for all areas measured, four points better than they scored in 2022. Agemark’s highest scores came in the areas of fairness, pride and camaraderie; employees noted exceptional positive treatment by the company regardless of an employee’s age, race, gender or sexual orientation, an appreciation that their work has special meaning, and a regard for the company’s emphasis on creating a welcoming environment and celebrating special events. In the comments provided by Agemark employees, also recognized was the company’s efforts in developing talent, promoting from within, providing outstanding benefits like education reimbursement, and perks such as profit sharing and free meals.
