Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE have again honored Agemark Senior Living as one of the 2022 Best Workplaces for Aging Services. This honor means Agemark is among the top 25 places to work in aging services/senior housing and care in the small/medium company division.
The surveying process was conducted by Activated Insights and included surveying all Agemark employees across its 25 communities along with two management offices. The survey evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included employee pride in Agemark’s community impact, belief that their work makes a difference and feeling their work has special meaning. Rankings are based on the employees experiences, no matter their job location or position.
Notably, 78% of Agemark employees indicated the company was a great place to work. For typical U.S.-based companies, 57% of employees indicate their job is a great place to work. Nearly 90% of the company’s employees mentioned feeling like they made a difference in their work, that their work had special meaning and those who join the company are made to feel welcome.
Marty Hug, CEO of Agemark Senior Living says, “We are pleased that once again, our employees have shown their trust in and their support of our company, but more importantly, they show exceptional pride in the work that they do each and every day. As our company continues to grow and we add new team members to our family, we know that one thing will never change – the fact that our people are the heart and soul of our company. Their efforts are what makes Agemark a truly special company. We could not do what we do without our incredible team.”
An anonymous Agemark employee gave this feedback during the survey process. “I’ve never worked for a company that believes in their staff as much as Agemark does. I truly have a family here and I love coming to work. I’m thankful my children also get to experience the Agemark way!”
